This is as good as it gets for gas prices this summer in Windsor.
Speaking on AM800's the Morning Drive, Dan McTeague with gasbuddy.com predicts gas prices will bottom out at 1.18/litre this summer.
On the positive side, he doesn't foresee gas prices reaching 1.40/litre in Windsor as it has at some stations in Toronto.
He says prices have pretty much stabilized barring a weather disaster.
"Up and down 5 cents, you are looking at prices now that have bottomed out at the 1.18 to 1.24 range," he says. "It costs most stations in Windsor 1.18/litre or 1.19/litre to buy their fuel today."
But he cautions about looking back as a comparison.
"We are pleased that prices are as low as they are in our region in Windsor. The fact is that they are still on average at least 24 cents a litre higher than they were this time last year, and that's true of the entire province."
McTeague adds there may be fewer options to get gas as more and more convenience stores are opting out of selling gas.
