Lionel Messi leads Argentina past Nigeria at the World Cup in Russia

It was an emotional scene yesterday in Russia as Argentina avoided elimination in the World Cup with a 2-1 victory over Nigeria.

A goal by Lionel Messi sparked the first of several celebrations in the stands by former star Diego Maradona.

Meanwhile, Croatia sent Iceland home with a 2-1 defeat.

A win would have seen Iceland advance instead of Argentina.

Today's action inclues four more big games.
