AM800 News has learned the Windsor Assembly Plant will be in shutdown mode for two weeks next month.
FCA's head of communications Lou Ann Gosselin has confirmed the plant will be idle the weeks of April 8 and 15 to "align production with demand", according to a statement from the company.
This is the third shutdown this year — the plant was also closed for two weeks in January and one week in February.
The shutdown impacts roughly 6,000 employees at the minivan plant which, when running at full volume, produces nearly 1,500 vehicles per day.
FCA is also halting operations at the Brampton Assembly Plant the weeks of April 1 and 8.
