The temperature records continue to fall in Windsor-Essex as the Polar Vortex lingers.
The old record low for January 31 was -20.6C set in 1971.
Just after midnight Thursday, Environment Canada reports the temperature dipped to -24.7C.
Wednesday was also a record-breaker with a low of -21.8C.
The previous record low for January 30 was -20.6C set in 1951.
