LaSalle native Kylie Masse is a champion again.
The 23-year-old swimmer defended her own title on Tuesday morning in the 100m backstroke with a time of 58.60seconds at the FINA World Aquatic Championship in Gwangju, South Korea.
Canadian teammate Taylor Ruck of Kelowna, B.C., finished in fourth place.
Masse's win marks Canada's second gold medal in as many days after Maggie MacNeil of London, won the women's 100m butterfly on Monday.
