Redbirds manager Stubby Clapp continues to pile up the accolades.
The Windsor, Ont. native was named the Pacific Coast League Manager of the Year for the second consecutive season.
He is one of just three managers in the league's 115-year history to take home the award in back-to-back years.
Clapp managed Memphis, the St. Louis Cardinals triple-A affiliate, to a league-best 80-53 record in 2018, on the heels of a 91-win campaign the year before.
USA Today's Bob Nightengale also reports Clapp is being considered for a manager's position by several Major League Baseball teams for the 2019 season.
Stubby Clapp, who'll be honored today as the Pacific Coast League's manager of the year, leading AAA Memphis to the playoffs and responsible for the development of many of the #STLCards young players, is attracting strong interest by #MLB teams seeking a potential manager in 2019
