Make sure you have extra change in your car. Roughly 800 Windsor Goodfellows volunteers will be spread out across the city at every major instersection or traffic area over the next three days.
Spokesperon Bruce Tait says they hope to raise $250,000 for this year's paper drive which runs from Thursday until Saturday.
"It's been our goal for the last two years and we keep falling short so we're hoping we can make that goal this year," says Tait. "That represents 43% of the funds we need for the year."
Money raised goes towards the annual Christmas box, shoe and boot and breakfast programs, as well as the local food bank. Tait says the paper drive doesn't just support the organization's annual Christmas box campaign.
"I guess that's an image problem as people say 'I see you on the corner' and they get their paper in November and that's for the Christmas boxes but we're going year round and have the other programs as well."
