A crackdown on speeding in LaSalle has resulted in an increase in tickets being issued.
LaSalle Police say 130 traffic related charges were issued in June, a sizeable increase compared to the three previous months. 96 charges were issued in May, 85 in April and 48 in March.
Police also say the number of warnings increased exponentially.
In May, the LaSalle Police Service launched a crackdown on speeding in the town after a number of complaints were issued.
At that time, Senior Constable Terry Seguin said that the police chief told officers to step up enforcement near Villanova Secondary School and throughout the municipality.
Police say this continues to be a safety issue and officers will continue with increased traffic enforcement in all areas of the town.
