Mass evacuations continue in Florida and South Carolina as Hurricane Matthew moves along the east coast.
An Essex woman is staying just outside of Orlando.
Michelle Slauenwhite and her family are supposed to be on a Disney vacation but the park is closed because of the storm.
Slauenwhite says it's been a chaotic couple of days. "We were out to dinner last night and when we were coming back we were stuck in miles of cars evacuating. We were in Kissimmee coming back and the traffic was just miles long with people leaving from the coast. So it's been a bit nuts here.":
She says they've been trying to stock up on the basics but store shelves are empty. "We got here on Tuesday and if you go out to the stores and whatnot people are definitely stocking up and preparing for this storm. People are definitely stocking up. The gas lines are really long."
More than 270,000 in Florida are without power because of the storm.
