An award for the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.
The future span linking Windsor and Detroit has been recognized by "IJGlobal Project Finance and Infrastructure Journal" as its 2018 Road Deal of the Year.
The awards gala was held in New York.
The IJGlobal Awards celebrate the best-in-class transactions which have closed in the past calendar year.
The Gordie Howe International Bridge project is one of the largest infrastructure projects in North America and will include six lanes of traffic to meet anticipated growth.
There will also be a multi-use path for pedestrians and cyclists.
It is expected to be in service by the end of 2024.
The Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority signed a $5.7-billion contract with Bridging North America to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the project.
