An Amherstburg mother has been given a suspended sentence for dumping the body of a newborn.
Back in May, Samantha Richards, 24, pleaded guilty in a London court to disposing a newborn's body after delivery.
The baby's body was found in June 2016 in a dumpster in London after police received tips from the public.
According to CTV News, Richards also received a two-year probation term.
The suspended sentence means she will have a criminal record.
The court had earlier heard Richards feels shame, guilt and self-hatred over the past two years because of the offence.
