An Amherstburg man has been fined after being pulled over by police in the town.
Police stopped a man last December and found an unencased shotgun and ammunition in the cab of a truck.
William Gatto was in a Windsor court last week, where it was revealed he had been convicted of the same offence in October 2017.
Under the Fish and Wildlife Act, Gatto received a $2,000 fine and a 30-day hunting suspension.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is reminding the public that hunting at night is illegal and firearms must be unloaded and encased a half an hour after sunset to half an hour before sunrise.
