A 75-year-old Amherstburg grandfather who was suing the town of Amherstburg has passed away.
In a Statement of Claim filed last year, Graham Hobbs was suing for $100,000 after the town banned him from all town facilities.
With his death, town CAO John Miceli says the lawsuit will continue by Hobbs's wife on behalf of her late husband.
Hobbs passed away January 2nd of cancer.
In November 2015, the town issued a trespass notice against Hobbs after the town received a complaint by a town employee for "unacceptable behaviour."
But his lawyer at the time Anthony Leardi said Hobbs was not given a reason for the notice.
Hobbs regularly attended town council, public meetings and published information and commentary on a website.
None of the allegations has been proven in court.
