Wolfhead Distillery wants to brew beer and spirits
Beer is on the agenda tonight at town council in Amherstburg.
Wolfhead Distillery has applied for a zoning change to allow it to brew beer as well as spirits.
Mayor Aldo DiCarlo is in favour. "We have a lot of draws in town, you know our wineries have done well up till now and the latest thing is craft breweries, we kind of jumped a head of the curb with craft distilleries and getting into the craft brewing just keeps us in the race I guess."
DiCarlo sees it as a way to attract more investment to the town.
If rezoning is approved, Wolfshead would team up with the Lonsbery Brewing Company to brew craft beer at its Howard Ave. location.
