There was more than bills and letters in several shipments of mail heading into the US at the Bluewater Bridge.
US Customs and Border Protection pulled over a transport truck carrying bulk mail in late August.
Canine units alerted on 14 packages and in them 300 pounds of marijuana were located.

Over the next ten days more shipments were inspected and 63 additional packages with more than 1,300 pounds of pot were seized.
In total 1,650 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of more than $4-million was confiscated and will be destroyed at a later date.
The truck drivers were all Canadian citizens and were released with their trucks.
