A Windsor man has been arrested after allegedly running down the street holding a knife.
Police were called Tuesday, January 29th at 12:15pm for a man running in the 900 block of Giles Boulevard West near Crawford with the knife.
Witnesses said the suspect had just walked into a business.
Officers approached the business and located the suspect standing in the entrance doorway with a folding knife hanging from the man's waistline.
The man was arrested and the knife, which was a prohibited weapon, was seized.
Canadian law prohibits the possession of a knife that has a blade that opens automatically.
No injuries were reported.
The 23-year-old Windsor man is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited weapon, breach of probation and breach of a prohibition order
