Top players from the National and American League square off tonight in the MLB All-Star Game in Washington, DC.

Nationals ace Max Scherzer and Red Sox ace Chris Sale will start the Midsummer Classic for their respective leagues for the second straight year.

They also started last year's game in Miami, which the AL won 2-1 in 10 innings on a home run by Seattle's Robinson Cano.

It's Sale's third straight All-Star start for the AL.

The NL squad features hometown star and 2018 Home Run Derby champion Bryce Harper of the Nationals.

Reliever Joe Jimenez is the lone representative for the Tigers this year.

Jay Happ is the Blue Jays' lone representative at tonight's midsummer classic in Washington.

Toronto's left-hander has a 10-and-5 record this season with a 4.44 E-R-A.

The all-time series is 43-43-and-2.
