TMZ reports Canadian born actor died of a heart attack while playing hockey

Television star Alan Thicke is dead.

TMZ is reporting Thicke had a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son on Tuesday.

The Canadian born actor was best known for his role as TV dad, Jason Seaver on the 80s sitcom "Growing Pains."

Thicke was 69.
