Some trails at Ojibway Park are reopening on Wednesday, June 10.

They were temporarily closed Friday evening after an aggressive wild turkey and its chicks were moving through the area.

According to the city, the trails were closed as a precautionary measure to protect both visitors and local wildlife.

The city says a few of the trails were closed throughout the weekend but after a thorough assessment on Tuesday, it was determined that the turkey and its chicks had left.
