A rare afternoon playoff game for the Essex 73's.
The 73's welcome the Petrolia Flyers to the Essex Centre Sports Complex Saturday at 3pm.
Essex leads the best of seven series two games to none.
Head Coach Cam Crowder says he's pleased with the way his team has been playing.
"We've had some keys throughout the series that are important to us and one of them is shutting down their top player Kole Keating so, so far we've done a good job of that," says Crowder. "We've held him off the score sheet and we look to do that on Saturday afternoon."
He says playing in the afternoon will be different for his team.
"We need to make sure we're ready to start the game and sometimes that can be difficult in an afternoon game but hopefully that can be our advantage because they're coming from Petrolia."
Crowder says the 73's are winning the special teams battle.
"We've done a great job on the penalty kill. I think we're 11 for 11 on the penalty, so that's good."
Essex won game one 4-2 and beat the Flyers 6-2 in game two.
Game four is set for Sunday night in Petrolia.
