Adventure Bay is celebrating five-years of fun.
Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens took part in the birthday festivities Saturday morning at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre.
He tells CTV Windsor more than 630,000 people have made their way through the waterpark alone.
"Windsorites or people from Essex-County, people frankly from across Ontario and even the other side of the river [Detroit] who've come over to enjoy this amenity so it's been well used by the community," he says."This whole facility [WIATC], it's well over 1-million people that have walked through the doors, last year there were 380,000 people in the entire facility alone."
He tells CTV Windsor the city doesn't plan on letting things get stale at the waterpark.
"Now we've been successful for five years, it's time for us to start considering how we can start swapping out some of the rides to make sure that we can maintain this facility as a vibrant place," says Dilkens.
Dilkens says city council will likely request some fresh ideas for the park over the winter.
