Advance voting for the Ontario election begins today.
There are 11 locations across the three main Windsor-Essex area ridings.
Elections Ontario's Communications Coordinator Cara Des Granges says they're ready to start balloting.
She says the process is the same as on election day.
"It's no different than what you would do on election day, on June 7. It's the same idea, so you would need to bring your identification that has your name and residential address with you and then you'll be able to vote."
Des Granges says there's an easy way to find out where you go to cast a ballot.
"The easiest way would be to go on our website. That's www.elections.on.ca. Then you just type in your postal code and it will let you know what the different voting locations are in your electoral district."
She says Elections Ontario has added technology at many polling stations.
"Before we used to have to read your name off the voters list, in order to cross you off and give you a ballot. Now it's going to be a scanning mechanism with your voter information card. If you bring that with you the process should be a bit smoother. And then we also have vote tabulators which will help count paper ballots."
Des Granges adds people have had an opportunity to vote before now at the returning office in their riding or by ordering a mail-in ballot kit.
Advance voting takes place May 26 to May 30 between the hours of 10am and 8pm.
Elections Ontario has already mailed out voter Information cards to those on the list of electors.
