Windsor police have charged a 29-year-old man with first-degree murder in a case they say is related to intimate partner violence (IPV).
The investigation began early Wednesday morning when officers observed a vehicle being driven dangerously in the area of Chatham Street East and Goyeau Street.
The motorist was stopped arrested for stunt driving.
Officers noticed the suspect had a large amount of dried blood on his face and body.
Investigators were led to a residence in the 1100 block of Langlois Avenue, where they found a woman without vital signs.
The 26-year-old victim was transported to hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Daniel Nathaniel Assing is charged with first-degree murder.
This is Windsor's fourth homicide of 2025.
