Monday is decision day in the Town of Amherstburg.
Town council will decide if it will make the switch from its local police force to Windsor police.
CAO John Miceli says Monday's council meeting is consider a special meeting and only the police matter will be discussed.
He says delegations have until 12 noon on Monday to sign up, if they would like to speak at the meeting.
Miceli believes it's going to be an interesting debate for council.
"It's an exercise we began almost three and a half years ago when council wanted to do a costing with regards to policing," says Miceli. "We basically have formed a recommendation for council's consideration."

Miceli adds the residents have voiced their opinions.
"We have our Talk the Burg social platform that allows people to provide comments and we've heard comments from there," says Miceli. "I know the mayor has heard many comments. He's been very active on social media and trying to answer as many questions as possible and with the four public consultation meetings, we've been very engaged but we're going to see what council is going to decide Monday night."
The proposed takeover was met with mixed reviews from town residents.
The town would save roughly $567,000 if it made the switch to Windsor police.
The five year contract would retain all current staff with the exception of the Chief and Deputy Chief positions.
Those positions would be replaced with Staff Sergeants.
