According to Skate Canada, Kaetlyn Osmond will be taking the year off from competition.
In June, the reigning world champion announced that she would sit out the ISU Grand Prix Circuit but ultimately decided to take the entire season off.
Osmond became the first Canadian woman in 45 years to win a world championship when she took gold in Milan, Italy in March.
She also won gold in the team event and bronze in women’s singles at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang.
She is a three-time Canadian champion and is coached by Ravi Walia in Edmonton, Alberta.
