A Slow Down In New Home Construction

A high number of completed and unsold new homes cited as a factor

A dip in the number of homes under construction in Windsor-Essex.

According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, 1,388 units were being built last month down from the 1,431 units under construction in September.

Senior Market Analyst with CMHC Anthony Passarelli says builders decreased starts which were at a ten year high because of a high number of completed and unsold new homes.
