The City of Windsor is closing a section of a busy roadway today.
City Engineer Michael Cappucci says Cabana Rd. E. from Holburn St. to Howard Ave. will be shut down from 7am until 9am.
Cappucci says following the complete closure, there will still be some delays as the stretch will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
"Once they get that first work completed, they'll be two lanes of traffic, on the south side and then it will be switched to the north side during the later part of the week," says Cappucci. "Then by the beginning of next week all the work should be completed."
This phase of construction is expected to wrap up early next week.
"Once it's done on Tuesday, the lines will be painted," says Cappucci. "The next phase of the construction won't start until next year so between Howard and Dougall that won't start until next year."
The work is part of the Cabana Rd. expansion project.
