A Windsor man convicted of 53 child porn offences is in a rare Dangerous Offender hearing.
In September 2016 Daniel George Nickolson was found guiltyafter 160,000 Skype messages and 22 chat partners were found on computers at his home.
Crown Lisa Dafoe has introduced a massive amount of evidence to support her case.
It amounts to 19 volumes of reports and other documents making a pile over a metre tall.
There are 5 witnesses scheduled today, with more on Thursday and Friday.
The hearing then takes a break until October.
First on the stand was a rehabilitation officer at the Southwest Detention Centre who explained the programs Nickolson had completed.
Next was a psychoanalyst who developed the Windsor Sexual Offender Treatment Program and who had Nickolson as a client.
Paul Adams says the assessment of Nickolson's likelihood to re-offend in 2011 was deemed "moderate"
Long after he had left treatment Adams was told a member of Nickolson's therapy group had been told Nickolson planned to return to pornography.
