Dr. Wajid Ahmed has been named to the post
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has confirmed its top leadership posts.
During its September 20th board meeting, it named Dr. Wajid Ahmed as its medical officer of health.
Theresa Marentette has been named the chief executive officer.
Dr. Gary Kirk was the previous medical officer of health and CEO, but he left in June 2017.
Both Ahmed and Marentette had been working in the positions in the interim, while the board launched a formal recruitment and review process.
