Friends of the family of 13-year-old Henry Reimer are asking for the public's help.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by family friend Tina Wall to help the boy's family.
Reimer was one of two teens killed in a rollover crash in Leamington last Sunday.
Wall says he was transferred to a Detroit hospital and underwent brain surgery before passing away late Tuesday afternoon.
She says she launched the GoFundMe page Wednesday afternoon.
Wall says support from the community is needed.
"I feel the accident has taken a huge hit on the community and even if you don't know them, they are part of this community so we should just show our love and respect even if we can't donate a lot, even just $5 would be so much appreciated by the Reimer family," says Wall.
Wall says she got the blessing from the Reimer family before starting the GoFundMe page.
Reimer was from Wheatley.
15-year-old Nicky Wiebe of Leamington was also killed in the crash.
As heard on AM800 news, their vehicle left the roadway at 8 pm and entered a water filled ditch at the intersection of Mersea Rd. 1 and Mersea Rd 19.
A 17-year-old remains in hospital and a 14-year-old was not injured in the crash.
