For 10 years a young Windsor girl has been helping the homeless in the downtown.
In that decade, Sarah Lewis has earned a nickname and the hearts of the people she's helped.
Sarah "socks" Lewis is at it again today, donating some $3500 to Street Help on Wyandotte near Parent Avenue and handing out hundreds of pairs of socks.

She says she can't believe she's been doing this for more than half her life, she started when she was 6 years old.
Sarah says it was not her plan to do this as long as she has: "I had no idea and I think that's what happens with a lot of things, you don't know where it's going to take you but if you stick with something you won't know what it turns into unless you're passionate and dedicated to it. So I think I've been really grateful for all the opportunities my sock campaign has allowed me to experience"
She says the people getting the socks need them and appreciate them.
Over the 10 years Sarah has donated more than $80,000 to Street Help and that's allowed close to 25,000 socks to be handed out to the homeless.
