Essex blanked Wheatley 50 in Provincial Junior Hockey League action
Josh Pope-Ferguson scored three goals to lead the Essex 73's to a 5-0 win over Wheatley in the Provincial Junior Hockey League Tuesday night.
Jax Dhont made 17 saves to record the shutout for the 73's, who have now won eight in a row.
Essex now leads Dresden by seven points for first-place in the Stobbs Division.
