The Essex 73s dump the Admirals in the season opener
In the Provincial Jr Hockey League last night the 73's raised their Stobbs Division Championship banner, then went out and dropped the Amherstburg Admirals 5-2 in their home opener in Essex.
Justin Bondy scored twice to power the 73's attack, and Luke Gecse put the final nail in the coffin, with an empty-netter with one minute remaining.
Tyler Ryan made 23 saves to earn the win.
Caleb Paquette and Brock Beaudoin scored the goal for the Admirals.
