The Essex 73's found the perfect way to rebound after their tough loss on Sunday to Lakeshore by mounting a 10-0 victory over the visiting Wheatley Sharks.
The 73's came out with a vengeance early, dominating the game from the opening faceoff and out shooting their opponents 34-20.
73's goaltender Jax D'hont did record the shutout with the help of some solid defence by his teammates.
Besides D'hont’s shutout, there were two-goal games by Michael Vieira, captain Tyler Boughner and defenceman Adam Gaiarin.
William Stadder, Brett Smith, Justin Bondy and Dallas Anderson all notched singles.
The win improves the 73s record to 3-1 as they travel to Mooretown Saturday night to take on the 4-0 Flags who currently lead the division. Game time in Mooretown is 7:30 pm
