It's Hockey Night in Essex.
The 73's host the Wheatley Sharks Tuesday in the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
Essex has won seven in a row to move into first-place in the Stobbs Division, five points ahead of the Dresden Kings.
Head coach Gil Langlois says he likes the way his team has been playing during the winning streak.
"I think we’ve competed every night,” says Langlois. “I think one of the things we were looking for at the start of the season, we were wanting some consistency in our game and lately we've been getting it."
The 73's have outscored the opposition 39-18 during their winning streak.
Josh Pope-Ferguson and William Stadder are tied for the team lead in scoring with 44 points, while Michael Vieira has 43 points. Pope-Ferguson has 24 goals, while Vieira has 22.
Game time in Essex is 7pm
