A big game in the PJHL Friday night.
The Essex 73's play the Lakeshore Canadiens at the Atlas Tube Centre.
Brandon Ireland, who has a goal and four assists so far this season for the Canadiens says, he anticipates a great game.
"I expect a playoff atmosphere. It's defenitiley a rivalry I enjoy playing in, and a rivalry that makes this week better and better."
Ireland tells AM800 Sports the 73's have several offensive weapons.
"You see Vieira, Stadder, even those Meyerink brothers, they can defenitley be game-changers, and I think the biggest things is not taking any shift for granted becuase if you do have that mental lapse, someone like Mike Vieria is going to put the puck in the net."
Other games in the Stobbs Division Friday include the Amherstburg Admirals playing the second-place Kings in Dresden.
