Essex routs Blenheim to move to within a point of Blades, Admirals in Stobbs Division
William Stadder scored twice and assisted on two other goals as the Essex 73's routed the Blenheim Blades 9-1 in the Provincial Junior Hockey League Tuesday night.
Brett Smith and Eric Shaw each scored twice for the 73's, who out shot the Blades 43-16.
Michael Vieira had four assists and Riley Meyerink had a goal and two assists.
Jax Dhont made 15 saves to pick up the win for Essex.
The 73's improve to 13-5-1 and just one back of Blenheim and Amherstburg for first-place in the Stobbs Division.
