In the PJHL playoffs, the top-seeded Essex 73's have advanced into round two, with a 4-1 win in Petrolia.
The game was scoreless until Curtis Helps cashed in at 15:12 of the middle period to give the Flyers the lead.
The 73's responded with four third-period goals, including Riley Meyerink and Eric Charlebois scoring 38 seconds apart early in the final frame.
Bryce Ryan and Josh Pope-Ferguson also scored for the 73's who will battle Amherstburg in round two.
Connor Meyerink made 26 saves to earn the win, as the 73's outscored the Flyers 24-6 in the series.
The other Stobbs Division semi-final has Lakeshore playing Dresden.
