The 73's are moving on to round two of the PJHL playoffs as they eliminated the Mooretown Flags last night with a 2-1 win in Essex.
Tyler Scott scored the game winning goal at 12:59 of the third period.
It was scoreless after the first period, and the teams traded second period goals with Eric Shaw scoring for the 73's and Mike Kindrachuk cashing in for the Flags.
Mooretown outshot Essex 30- 29 but bow out losing the series four games to one.
The top ranked Lakeshore Canadiens also advanced into round two by sweeping Petrolia in four straight on the weekend.
