In the PJHL on Tuesday night in Essex, the 73's doubled their county rivals, the Lakeshore Canadiens 4-2.
Lakeshore lead (2-1) after the first period, with Matt Smyth scoring both goals, however Essex fought back for the win.
Josh Pope-Ferguson scored the game-winner, seven minutes into the third period, and Preston Corp added an insurance goal with only 18 seconds remaining.
Corp's goal was an empty-netter.
Owen Meyerink and Darcy Haupt also scored for the third place 73's, while goalie Conner Meyerink made 26 saves to earn the win.
The Stobbs Division standings have Mooretown in first place with 22 points, two more than Lakeshore, and six more than Essex.
