About 60 kids are peddling around their neighbourhoods, thanks to Unifor Local 444.
As part of its annual 'Bikes for Kids' event, the union donated 60 refurbished bikes to students at F.W Begley Public School.
This is the 16th year for the event which has given away 1,500 bikes and helmets have been donated by the Riverside Optimist Club.
Chair of the Unifor Local 444 Community Service Committee Sue Najem says this can make a huge difference in a family.
"Think about it, I mean bikes sometimes cost about $100 for a little kid or even more and if it means, groceries for a week or two for your family or a bike for your child, then something is going to give, right?"

Grade 5 student Samuel SainternieĀ has been riding his friend's bike up until now, so he's happy to have his own.
"It is really good actually. It's kinda good and I like it, it helps a lot of people who don't have any bikes," says Sainternie.
Grade 1 student Konnor Harding says his bike is 'perfect because it's gold' andĀ he promises he will always wear his helmet.
"So my head doesn't break right in half - so I don't break a bone."
The bikes are donated by the community and collected in April at Devonshire Mall.
The schools pick the students who receive the bikes.
