The Ministry of Municipal Affairs has received 549 applications for funding from households in Windsor, Lakeshore and Tecumseh after last fall's flooding.
The deadline to submit an application for the Disaster Recovery Assistance of Ontario program was January 31st.
Ministry Spokesperson Kaley Ames says so far, $86,000 has been paid to eligible applicants.
The number of applicants could increase as there may be some hard copy applications still in the mail.
The program helps people, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations cover emergency expenses and repairs to replace essential property following a natural disaster.
The Insurance Bureau of Canada says the claims in Windsor, Lakeshore and Tecumseh amounted to about $108-million in damages.
