Two Torontoarea drivers charged with stunt driving

Provincial police have been kept busy on the 401 through Chatham-Kent with several incidents on one day.

Tuesday, two drivers from the Toronto area were stopped for stunt driving and a truck driver was charged for an insecure load.

At 5pm a westbound vehicle was clocked at 180 km/hr and a 20-year-old from Mississauga is charged.

Less than an hour later a westbound truck had its load shift and puncture the front of the trailer spilling on the roadway.

A 56-year-old Oakville driver faces an insecure load charge.

At 10:30pm a westbound vehicle went through radar at 170 km/hr and a 25-year-old from the Stoufville area is charged.

For both stunt driving suspects their license is suspended and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
