A Gun Amnesty Programin Windsor last month has taken 38 weapons off city streets.
For the month of April, Windsor police along with the OPP encouraged any resident to voluntarily surrender unwanted or illegally-owned firearms or ammunition.
Police collected 13 rifles, eight shotguns, seven handguns, four air rifles, four air pistols, one replica firearm, one flare gun and 383 rounds of ammunition.
The goal of the program was to increase public safety.
