34-year-old man arrested after two vehicles were set on fire

Windsor Police quickly made an arrest after two vehicles were deliberately set on fire.

Shortly after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, officers responded to a report of a car on fire in the 100 block of Park Street.

When officers arrived, they learned that a second parked vehicle had also been set ablaze nearby on Pelissier Street.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services attended and extinguished both fires. No injuries were reported.

Officers reviewed video surveillance footage from the area and quickly identified the suspect.

Shortly after 11 a.m., police located and arrested the suspect in the area of Wyandotte Street and Dufferin Place.

The 34-year-old man has been charged with three counts of arson causing property damage and five counts of failure to comply with a release order.
