It is time to answer the ringing of bells for this year's Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign.

The goal is $270,000  to help the charity's food bank and toy drive.

The kettles will be out in 20 different locations from LaSalle to Windsor to Tecumseh beginning November 17th.

Christmas Kettle Co-ordinator for the Salvation Army Natalie Girard says it is a little higher than last year's goal.

"Last year we upped our goal. The goal last year was $260,000 but with the generosity of the public, we were able to exceed that standard and we are hoping to do that again this year," she says.

Last year, $272,000 was raised thanks to a final push in the campaign.
