The Canada Border Services Agency says a commercial truck was sent to secondary inspection on February 19th, 2019.
During the search, six bricks of suspected cocaine, weighing 8.2 kilograms or about 18 pounds, was found within the sleeper cab of the tractor.
The driver, a Waterloo man, has been arrested and charged.
"This seizure demonstrates the hard work and perseverance of our officers who are committed to stopping illegal activity at our borders and to protecting our communities," says Tamara Allard, District Director of the CBSA Ambassador Bridge Operations for the southern Ontario region.
