17 charges have been laid after a commercial motor vehicle inspection blitz in Essex.
Provincial police along with the Ministry of Transportation conducted the inspections on Monday.
29 commercial motor vehicles were stopped and inspected.
The OPP says 17 charges were laid for various vehicle maintenance and driver condition infractions.
In a release, the OPP says it will continue to work with its community partners to ensure the safety of commercial motor vehicles travelling on Essex County roadways.
