A fan-favourite festival returns to the region this weekend.

The 167th Comber Fair will kick off Friday morning and will run until Sunday afternoon.

Fair President Ron Chambers says there’s lots of events for the family to enjoy.

“We have the Figure 8 Races on Saturday, along with the dog show. We have wrestling on Saturday with many games, Gellyball, live entertainment on the stage all weekend, Elvis on Saturday night on the main stage, our famous Beer Garden, our midway, and a lot of vendors.”

He says they’ve made improvements to fair grounds for a better experience.

“Upgrades have been happening out through last year. We’ve updated a lot of stuff, and cleaned up a lot of stuff, and making sure we are set for the future.”

Chambers says he’s happy the community loves the event.

“It means everything and the world to me, right from the heart, I’m so excited that they do appreciate everything that we do for the surrounding areas, they come on out and have a wonderful family weekend together.”

The fair features a range of events such a the 4H Auction, Car and Truck Show, a parade, the midway carnival, Demolition Derby, fireworks, live music, and more.

Admission is $10 a day with children 12 and under free.
