A cocaine bust at the Ambassador Bridge is a lot bigger than first thought.
As AM800 News reported last month, the Canada Border Services Agency seized 8.2 kilograms (18 lbs) of suspected cocaine in a commercial truck on February 19, 2019.
The cocaine was found in the sleeper cab of the tractor.
The next day, CBSA officers continued to examine the tractor trailer with a detector dog and found another 49 bricks of suspected cocaine.
The total amount seized was 74.2 kilograms or 163 pounds.
The driver, a 44 year old Waterloo man, was arrested.
